Duties
- Provide oversight and guidance to the communications committee and promote committee cohesion

Historian Chair
Duties
- Take pictures at all SWE events
- Maintain a scrapbook of section activities
- Prepare a display of presentation for the Spring Banquet
Newsletter Chair

Duties
- Compiles one newsletter per term to be sent to alumni and members
- Creates a monthly bulletin for corporate sponsors and the MEEM pillar
Publicity Chair
Duties
- Advertises for all SWE events with table tents, posters, and the electronic display system
- Maintains the SWE pillar in the MEEM
- Makes meeting notices for SWE members who live on campus
Webmaster Chair
Duties
- Keeps the student section website up to date
- Maintains the SWE office computer

Duties
- Provide oversight and guidance to the outreach committee and promote committee cohesion
- Keep the vice president and executive council up to date on committee activities
- Be required to maintain a chair or co-chair position within the outreach committee.
Certificate of Merit Chair
Duties
- Awards female high school Juniors and Seniors with certificates of excellence in science and math
- Implements a letter writing activity in the fall to high school females who attended a MTU youth program
Community and Campus Chair
Duties
- Completes one Big Mac program per semester
- Organizes activities in the community and within senior communities
- Helps with MTU sponsored outreach including Get WISE Day and Engineering Olympics
- Informs members of volunteer opportunities
Evening With Industry Chair
Duties
- Begin planning for EWI the Spring term before the event
- Assemble the EWI resume book to be distributed to companies
- Be persistent and communicate well with companies
Fundraising Chair
Duties
- Organize Winter Carnival SWEish-Ka-Bob sales
- Organize Spring Fling Fundraiser
- Organize one additional fundraiser in the fall semester
Social Chair
Duties
- Reserves rooms for all general meetings
- Orders food and beverages for general meetings
- Organizes IM sports, Homecoming, Winter Carnival, and Spring Fling events
- Organizes social events
