General Communications Information

The Communications Committee is in charge of publicizing and documenting Michigan Tech SWE events. This includes photographing SWE events, creating a newsletter, publicizing events on campus, and maintaining the SWE website. Below is an overview of the tasks assigned to the communications committee.

Photo Documentation

The Historian chair is in charge of photographing or videotaping all SWE events. The historian maintains the online photo site, in addition to creating a scrapbook for display at the Spring Banquet.

Newletters

Michigan Tech SWE publishes two newsletters per year to inform alumni, sponsors, members, and other interested parties of what the student section has accomplished in the past semester. These newsletters are also available on this site.

Publicity

The Publicity committee has the job of making sure that SWE members are fully informed of general meetings, social events, and fundraisers. This is performed by hanging up flyers, making table tents, advertising on the ME-EM pillar, advertising through the electronic display system (EDS), or advertising through film board at Fisher movies. SWE general members can also volunteer to hang flyers up on their dorm doors.

Website

The goal of the website is to be a central place to find information on Michigan Tech SWE, including events, meetings, contacts, and archives. Anyone with comments or suggestions for the website should contact the webmaster.
